Description

  • Perform copy-editing and on-demand translation tasks for assigned projects or accounts.
  • Provide lead support on assigned projects or accounts.
  • Maintain glossaries, style guides, work instructions, and other language materials to required quality standards.
  • Manage project-related queries and resolve terminology and language questions among team members.
  • Test and qualify new freelancers and vendors as needed.
  • Train and develop internal linguists and external partners based on account needs.
  • Interact with clients on linguistic matters as required.
  • Participate in developing new and improved working processes.
  • Meet or exceed productivity, on-time delivery, and quality KPIs.
  • Support team goals and objectives set by the team manager.

Requirements

  • University degree in Translation, Applied Languages, Linguistic Studies, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Native-level fluency in Polish.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, across a variety of registers.
  • 4+ years of experience in translation, localization, editing, or content writing.
  • 2+ years of review experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the localization process.
  • Excellent knowledge of terminology in two or more subject areas, ideally Life Sciences and CRO/Pharma.
  • Hands-on experience with CAT tools such as XTM or SDL Trados Studio, and issue tracking/query management tools such as JIRA.
  • Good working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work effectively with tight deadlines and within a virtual team.
  • Ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback and to train, teach, and mentor others.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred: ability to quickly learn new localization tools and applications.
