Description

  • Translate and copy edit content across investigator-facing, patient-facing, pharmacy, marketing, help, and UI materials.
  • Localize content for Xhosa audiences while preserving cultural nuances and target-language quality.
  • Collaborate with the freelance language team across multiple client accounts and programs.
  • Use CAT tools and translation platforms to complete assigned work efficiently.
  • Work with project-related tools and workflows including Jira and Smartling as needed.
  • Review and refine content to ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency, and readiness for publication.
  • Support translation and localization deliverables for global clients across multiple markets.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience translating or copy editing content in relevant subject matter areas or verticals.
  • Professional-level understanding of English (US/GB).
  • Native-level expertise in Xhosa as the target language, with a strong understanding of cultural nuances.
  • Experience using CAT tools such as XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, and Smartling.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications, including MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Translation degree preferred, or 3 years of translation experience if holding another degree.
  • If no degree is held, 5 years of translation experience is required.
  • Experience with marketing, help content, and UI content is preferred.
  • Experience with life sciences content, including investigator-facing, patient-facing, and pharmacy material, is preferred.
