Description

  • Translate and review content from English into Dutch while preserving the original meaning and making it clear for the target audience.
  • Work on a range of content types, including informational, legal, marketing, product, and support materials.
  • Take ownership of incoming work for the account and contribute to the overall success of the program.
  • Perform translation, copy editing, and research tasks as part of the freelance workflow.
  • Follow instructions and content constraints such as character limits and other formatting requirements.
  • Communicate the rationale behind transcreation decisions effectively when needed.
  • Apply technical UI/CS knowledge and creative writing judgment to titles, synopses, and similar content.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience translating and reviewing content in the relevant subject matter.
  • Proficiency in Dutch with native-level fluency in the target language.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience across marketing, product, legal, and informational content.
  • Familiarity with translation and terminology tools.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work within character restrictions and other content limits.
  • Ability to explain the rationale behind transcreation work.
  • Technical knowledge related to UI and customer support content, plus creative knowledge for synopses and episodic titles.
