Description

  • Coordinate testing efforts and schedule resources across multiple labs and locations.
  • Meet with the client to clarify briefs, policies, requests, deadlines, and resource plans.
  • Collaborate with project managers, testers, and producers to keep schedules on track.
  • Maintain internal tracking for attendance, schedules, performance, and workload across language groups.
  • Review new candidate submissions, decide whom to invite for tryouts, and present qualified candidates to the client.
  • Guide tester and reviewer candidates through tryouts and serve as the primary onsite contact.
  • Manage onboarding for new testers and reviewers.
  • Provide technical and linguistic training, coaching, and guidance to improve performance, speed, and quality.
  • Compile and maintain training materials and operating guidelines.
  • Gather feedback from testers, client stakeholders, and Welocalize teams to identify issues and improve workflow.
  • Report onsite activity, team performance, client feedback, policy changes, and planning updates to Welocalize management and recruiters.
  • Support project managers and producers with additional tasks and help ensure employee safety on client premises.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the QA, localization, or globalization industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in language, linguistics, HR, management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • People management experience.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication skills for working with client managers, linguists, project managers, and testers.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, ownership, and accountability.
  • Conflict management and mediation skills.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage competing stakeholder demands.
  • Extreme attention to detail and strong organizational skills for handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience providing training to individuals and groups in technical and other skills.
  • Ability to work with OS X, iOS, iWork, iCloud, iTunes, Windows, and MS Office.
  • Preferred: project management experience and/or training.
  • Preferred: multilingual.
  • Preferred: knowledge of basic HTML and Unicode.
  • Preferred: basic computer networking knowledge, including IP addresses and proxy-based device setup.
  • Preferred: experience writing and editing QA plans.
  • Preferred: familiarity with photo editing and desktop publishing.
  • Preferred: training in conflict resolution or mediation.
