Description

  • Translate patent-related content from English into Dutch while preserving the original meaning.
  • Copy-edit and review patent translations to ensure readability and clarity for the target audience.
  • Maintain style adequacy and consistency to meet client expectations.
  • Work on ongoing freelance assignments with variable weekly word volumes based on availability.
  • Handle content across technical domains including biology, chemistry, computer science, electricity, mechanics, and pharmacy.
  • Collaborate remotely on a long-term, independent contractor basis.

Requirements

  • Native-level fluency in Dutch.
  • At least 2 years of experience translating and reviewing content in patent fields.
  • Effective and proficient communication skills in English.
  • Experience with CAT tools such as Trados and/or XTM.
  • Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Immediate availability for an ongoing freelance project.
  • Ability to translate patent-related content accurately and readably for the target audience.
  • Experience working with technical patent content is required.
  • No minimum volume capacity is required, but availability to collaborate on a flexible basis is preferred.
