Description

  • Lead the design and architecture of complex, multi-stack systems and create reusable abstractions for the engineering organization.
  • Proactively identify and execute architectural improvements to reduce technical debt and improve long-term maintainability.
  • Anticipate edge cases and failure modes during design to strengthen system availability and resilience.
  • Partner with product teams to translate product vision into the right technical solutions.
  • Provide detailed feedback on design documents and pull requests to raise engineering quality.
  • Mentor Senior and Lead engineers and help establish practices that scale beyond individual contributions.
  • Promote a sustainable high-performance culture that supports work-life balance and mental health.
  • Collaborate across teams and share knowledge through RFCs, tech talks, and documentation.

Requirements

  • BSc. or MSc. degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with backend programming languages, specifically JVM-based languages such as Java and Kotlin.
  • Proven experience architecting and deploying solutions on AWS.
  • Deep expertise in Java/Kotlin, ReactJS, and TypeScript.
  • Experience knowing when to use Vanilla JS or a Node.js BFF for the right problem.
  • Extensive experience working with microservices and micro-frontend architectures at scale.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, asynchronous programming, and complexity analysis.
  • Ability to balance testing, user experience, system cost, availability, and maintainability.
  • Professional fluency in English and strong asynchronous communication skills.
  • Prior experience in both backend and frontend development is mandatory.
  • Experience sharing knowledge through RFCs, tech talks, or documentation is preferred.
