Description

  • Lead high-ambiguity, high-complexity design work from strategy through polished execution.
  • Organize and facilitate design sprints, design exploration, and rapid prototyping to drive decisions.
  • Serve as the design lead and subject-matter expert for Investing initiatives.
  • Define customer-experience visions, translate them into roadmaps, and deliver high-quality product experiences.
  • Partner with product, engineering, research, data science, legal, compliance, and design teams to identify, prioritize, and ship opportunities.
  • Drive innovation and scalable ways of working with leaders across Wealthfront.
  • Define design patterns and processes that mature the design organization.
  • Lead design-team initiatives that support an inclusive, healthy team culture.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product design experience at a consumer software company.
  • Experience shipping high-quality consumer technology products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate abstract design concepts visually and verbally to senior leaders and executives.
  • Ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects and navigate ambiguity independently.
  • Strategic product-thinking ability, with interest in customer experience and business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to set a customer-experience vision, build alignment, create roadmaps, and deliver against them.
  • Experience using UX methods, ideation, storytelling, prototyping, design frameworks, concept visualization, and problem-framing techniques.
  • Ability to evaluate customer and business trade-offs and create alignment across the organization.
  • Commitment to respectful, inclusive collaboration and constructive debate.
  • Experience building modern fintech products (preferred).
