Description

  • Monitor daily market and macroeconomic news and generate timely content ideas for the Vested Interest newsletter and other platforms.
  • Write engaging short- and long-form content in written, video, social, and potentially audio formats.
  • Translate financial topics and market developments into social media content.
  • Help build and manage a team of freelancers and content creators.
  • Partner with Social Media, Lifecycle, Creative, Editorial, Investment Research, and Compliance teams on content development and distribution.
  • Evaluate new content formats and distribution channels and recommend which to pursue.
  • Measure content performance and develop strategies to improve outcomes.
  • Support Wealthfront’s broader editorial strategy and content operations.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience writing and editing timely financial market and macroeconomic stories at top-tier news outlets.
  • Demonstrated experience producing a variety of financial content, including newsletters, video scripts, and social media posts.
  • Familiarity with investing and personal finance strategies, macroeconomic data, and the impact of financial trends on young professionals.
  • Strong storytelling ability and experience translating financial news and data into digestible content.
  • Experience developing and/or producing video and audio content is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Must be available for a 6-month full-time temporary role with the opportunity to transition to permanent employment.
  • Based in Palo Alto, CA or open to US-based remote work.
