Description

  • Build data models and analyses for each compensation planning cycle and manage the tools used during planning.
  • Partner with Recruiting to propose new hire offers and communicate Waymo’s employment value proposition.
  • Develop reusable technology and analytics to scale program delivery and automate insights.
  • Manipulate large data sets, interpret results, and present findings to leadership.
  • Participate in the research, development, and administration of assigned compensation programs.
  • Help create, consult on, and review compensation policies and processes.
  • Perform compensation analyses such as market benchmarking, performance rating analysis, and policy deep dives.
  • Analyze compensation outcomes and make recommendations for future consideration.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in economics, psychology, statistics, business administration, operations research, industrial engineering, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, executive compensation, broad-based compensation, or another relevant field.
  • Experience managing large data sets and presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience with SQL and/or AppScript.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet software.
  • Client-service orientation and ability to prioritize in an environment with competing demands (preferred).
  • Interest in analyzing data and making sound decisions from insights (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills (preferred).
  • Desire to build and improve processes for seamless client experiences (preferred).

Benefits

  • $113,000–$138,000 USD base salary range.
  • Eligibility for Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program.
  • Eligibility for Waymo’s equity incentive plan.
  • Generous company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
  • Remote work may be available depending on location.
