Description

  • Monitor social media coverage across platforms such as Twitter and Reddit using Talkwalker.
  • Help deliver real-time traditional news media briefings and client updates as needed.
  • Collaborate with analysts to identify and escalate viral social posts that may create reputational risk.
  • Collect, prepare, and validate data to support social media analysis and scheduled report delivery.
  • Write descriptive copy that explains the stories behind negative, positive, and neutral social media data.
  • Support ad hoc reporting and longer-term traditional and social analysis projects.
  • Use Excel report data to help create graphics and charts.
  • Track developments as they unfold and translate data into clear, actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline; a focus on communications, journalism, economics, history, or another social science is preferred.
  • Experience writing analytical reports using Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interest in social media, the 24/7 news cycle, and the intersection of culture, business, and politics.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to understand the deeper meaning behind content.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong ownership mentality.
  • Coachability and a learning- and growth-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities.
  • Experience working in teams with a collaborative mindset.
  • Must be located in the United States and able to work remotely each weekend from 5 am - 5 pm ET on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Temporary role duration is 3 months, with an anticipated start as soon as possible in June or July 2026.
