Description

  • Migrate workloads from legacy Beanstalk to EKS, including networking, IAM, and functional parity.
  • Design and maintain scalable compute and networking components, including Private Link, load balancers, and the Core API.
  • Operate critical production infrastructure and support high availability, resilience, and zero-downtime services.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for shared compute systems.
  • Maintain and evolve ArgoCD, Argo Rollouts, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Checkout, MasterData, Dark Kitchen, and Traffic.
  • Help consolidate next-generation compute infrastructure and reduce technical debt from legacy platforms.

Requirements

  • Mid-level or senior backend/platform engineering experience.
  • Strong experience operating and evolving Kubernetes or Amazon EKS infrastructure.
  • Hands-on production AWS experience with VPC, IAM, load balancers, Auto Scaling, and Beanstalk.
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems and networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, proxies, and inter-service communication.
  • Experience migrating workloads between compute platforms is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GitOps and infrastructure as code, including ArgoCD, Pulumi, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to negotiate technical priorities across product and platform teams.
  • Availability to participate in on-call rotations.
