Description

  • Own testing strategy, automation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, cloud platforms, and developer environments.
  • Establish quality gates, deployment practices, on-call standards, incident processes, and reliability metrics.
  • Lead Vida’s information security program, including policies, risk assessments, awareness, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Oversee corporate IT, identity and access management, endpoint management, SaaS security, and vendor security.
  • Manage customer security diligence, questionnaires, audits, and compliance activities.
  • Own client data integrations, eligibility and data-feed operations, monitoring, automation, and reliability.
  • Lead Tier 2/3 technical escalations, customer-visible incidents, incident command, SLAs, and postmortems.
  • Build the security and engineering operations roadmap, hire additional talent, and develop managers and senior engineers.
  • Transition production operations and support functions into an engineering-oriented organization with improved tooling, automation, standards, and career development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years leading multiple teams and developing Engineering Managers.
  • Experience owning DevOps, SRE, platform, or engineering operations at scale, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and AWS or GCP.
  • Experience leading customer-facing production operations, integrations, or technical support with formal SLAs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing production incidents, on-call programs, and durable corrective actions.
  • Experience in regulated environments such as HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST, or PCI.
  • Ability to restructure and integrate teams inherited from another business function.
  • Broad experience across quality engineering, infrastructure, corporate IT, security, and customer operations.
  • Prior experience serving as a Security Officer or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience leading SOC 2 Type II or HITRUST certification efforts preferred.
  • Healthcare data integration experience with eligibility files, 834/837, HL7, FHIR, claims, or comparable exchanges preferred.
  • Experience in quality engineering, corporate IT scaling, virtual care, digital health, or similar environments preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; Vida does not sponsor work visas, and employees must reside in an eligible U.S. state.
