Description

  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Defender, and Azure incidents.
  • Lead root-cause analysis, problem management, and permanent resolution of recurring technical issues.
  • Establish and improve security baselines and configuration standards across customer environments.
  • Assess technology changes, security risks, implementation plans, and rollback procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to modernise infrastructure, improve security, optimise licensing, and reduce operational complexity.
  • Administer multiple customer tenants using GDAP, Microsoft 365 Lighthouse, and Azure Lighthouse.
  • Develop PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API automation for configuration, reporting, monitoring, and remediation.
  • Mentor Level 1 and Level 2 engineers and provide technical guidance and knowledge-sharing.
  • Create runbooks, standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with customers, account teams, Microsoft Support, and third-party vendors as required.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in systems engineering, cloud engineering, or managed IT services, including senior or Level 3 support.
  • Experience working for a Managed Service Provider supporting multiple commercial customer environments.
  • Strong knowledge of incident, problem, change, and ITIL-aligned service management practices.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Manager, Windows Autopilot, Windows 10/11, and endpoint security.
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 administration across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, licensing, Purview, DLP, and sensitivity labels.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, hybrid identity, Entra Connect, RBAC, and least-privilege models.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Defender, endpoint protection, attack surface reduction, vulnerability management, Defender XDR, and Zero Trust.
  • Strong Azure administration experience covering virtual machines, networking, storage, backup, monitoring, governance, security, and cost management.
  • Advanced PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API skills for secure, reusable automation.
  • Preferred certifications include MD-102, MS-102, AZ-104, with SC-300 or Azure security certifications advantageous; equivalent practical experience is valued.
