Description

  • Coordinate employee leave and medical accommodation cases, including FMLA, ADA, STD, and LTD processes.
  • Manage the ADA interactive process, including documentation, follow-ups, and escalation of complex cases.
  • Maintain and interpret employee handbooks and HR policies, and provide guidance to managers and employees.
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding for corporate support employees and partner with internal teams to improve the experience.
  • Serve as a primary contact for benefits questions and support annual open enrollment with the benefits broker.
  • Develop and manage ancillary benefit programs such as scrubs, CE, and tuition reimbursement.
  • Apply federal and state employment laws and maintain documentation for compliance-related processes.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation reporting, insurance carrier communication, and return-to-work support.
  • Manage unemployment claims, including responses, documentation, and hearing participation.
  • Maintain HRIS employee data, run reports and audits, and partner with Payroll on changes and corrections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in an HR generalist or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with leave of absence management, ADA accommodations, and benefits administration.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEO.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all employee levels.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Experience in a multi-location healthcare or veterinary services environment is a plus.
  • Remote U.S. location with approximately 10–15% travel to hospitals and regional/corporate offices.
