Description

  • Architect Python 3.13+ and FastAPI services supporting production-critical agentic payment flows.
  • Design APIs and domain models for card enrollment, token provisioning, purchase intents, mandates, attestation, OTP, confirmations, and cryptogram retrieval.
  • Own architectural decisions covering security, scalability, availability, performance, and developer experience.
  • Establish observability patterns using structured logging, metrics, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and distributed tracing.
  • Design Kubernetes API and Custom Resource Definition workflows for automated platform provisioning.
  • Define unit, integration, acceptance, and end-to-end testing strategies, including canary-safe production validation.
  • Lead technical design reviews and cross-functional initiatives from exploration through production operation.
  • Apply AI-assisted development and agentic workflows across prototyping, testing, refactoring, investigation, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with Product, Security, Infrastructure, Platform, and external card-network partners.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience owning outcomes in complex, large-scale distributed systems and mission-critical environments.
  • Advanced proficiency with AWS and Terraform for reproducible infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, and GitOps tools such as Flux, Argo, or GitHub Actions.
  • Strong Python coding skills for infrastructure automation and operational tooling.
  • Experience implementing Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry at scale.
  • Understanding of cloud security, API gateways, load balancing, and network isolation.
  • Experience with tokenization, payment processing, or security products preferred.
  • Experience designing mandate, credential-provisioning, authentication, attestation, or cryptogram workflows preferred.
  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • Experience using AI developer tools or agentic automation in engineering workflows preferred.
