Description

  • Define the product vision and strategic direction in alignment with company objectives and customer needs.
  • Translate product strategy into actionable plans and determine what to build and when to release it.
  • Build and maintain detailed roadmaps for internal teams and high-level roadmaps for executives and customers.
  • Manage the product backlog and prioritize features based on user value, effort, time to market, and competitive differentiation.
  • Gather and curate ideas from customers, sales, internal stakeholders, and market research to shape the roadmap.
  • Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure delivery meets market needs and quality standards.
  • Track product performance, including feature adoption, customer satisfaction, and churn or renewal drivers.
  • Run trials, pilots, and MVPs to validate assumptions before broader launches.
  • Serve as the product subject matter expert on the market, product, and competitive landscape.
  • Promote the product through training, sales enablement, webinars, and direct customer interactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications such as CSPO or SAFe PO is a plus.
  • 5–7 years of experience in a product management role.
  • Proven experience overseeing elements of the product development lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
  • Highly effective cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Aha! Product Management software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with software engineering concepts such as APIs, databases, and cloud is preferred.
  • Experience with call center software such as ACD, IVR, and AI bots is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to accelerate product workflows, including requirements generation, research synthesis, and user story drafting, is a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and able to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability security clearance.
