Description

Process semi-monthly or bi-weekly payroll for employees in Canada and the US through ADP.
Ensure payroll delivery for more than 650 employees across multiple business entities.
Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions for multi-entity payroll runs.
Manage payroll integrations with BambooHR, time-tracking, and accounting systems.
Ensure compliance with Canadian and US labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll standards.
Perform payroll reconciliations and audits.
Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and year-end forms, including T4s, T4As, RL1, T2200s, W2s, W2-Cs, 1095-C, and 5500s.
Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries, including pay discrepancies, tax withholdings, and benefit deductions.
Maintain accurate and secure payroll systems and employee data.
Collaborate with HR, Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to support payroll operations, reporting, upgrades, and audits.
Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to increase payroll accuracy and efficiency.
Develop and document payroll procedures and best practices.

Requirements

Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
5+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-entity, cross-border environment.
Strong knowledge of Canadian and US payroll legislation and regulations.
Experience working with a payroll service provider such as ADP, Ceridian, or Paylocity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll and benefits information.
Ability to multitask and prioritize diverse workloads.
Canadian or US professional payroll designation is an asset.
Bilingualism is an asset.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and able to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability security clearance.
