Description

  • Define and execute the enterprise data strategy aligned with product, AI, and commercial objectives.
  • Lead the convergence of transactional, operational, and analytical data into a unified operational backbone.
  • Own a multi-year data maturity roadmap spanning architecture, semantics, governance, and accessibility.
  • Establish canonical data models, enterprise ontologies, schema contracts, and shared metric catalogues.
  • Operationalize data governance through classification, RBAC, SLAs, certified data objects, lineage, and privacy controls.
  • Build and maintain the enterprise data catalogue, asset registry, and executive data health dashboard.
  • Prepare data infrastructure for ML pipelines, LLM serving, agentic systems, predictive models, and real-time data delivery.
  • Develop governed external data products and partner with Commercial on data product strategy and monetization.
  • Lead and grow the Data Platform Team while partnering with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Analytics.
  • Represent the data function at the executive level and contribute to Versapay’s AI and product roadmap.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data leadership, including 5+ years at Director level owning enterprise data strategy, architecture, or governance.
  • Track record of modernizing and unifying complex, multi-source data environments at scale, preferably in SaaS, fintech, or payments.
  • Deep expertise in modern data stacks, including cloud data warehouses, Snowflake, lakehouse architectures, ETL frameworks, and semantic or canonical modeling.
  • Experience applying AI and ML infrastructure principles, including governance, observability, and semantic standards for safe deployment.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing technical teams across BI, Analytics, Data Engineering, and data platform CI/CD.
  • Experience governing data for commercial use, including external data products, consent frameworks, lineage, and privacy compliance.
  • Exceptional executive communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience managing data warehouse costs and forecasting.
  • Experience with agentic AI architecture, MCP, or LLM serving layers preferred.
  • Experience with payments or AR/AP automation, data commercialization, structured data maturity transformations, AWS-native infrastructure, Snowflake, modern BI tooling, or PE-backed SaaS preferred.
