Description

  • Own day-to-day bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance for international entities in NetSuite.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries for accruals, prepayments, payroll, and intercompany recharges.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations across balance sheet accounts and resolve open items.
  • Process accounts payable and employee travel and expense reimbursements with proper coding and documentation.
  • Support tax return preparation, withholding tax calculations, and coordination with external consultants and advisors.
  • Assist with preparation of financial statements and other compliance requirements for international entities.
  • Reconcile payroll processor output to NetSuite and prepare monthly payroll journal entries.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for the annual statutory audit and work with auditors on open items.
  • Support monthly and quarterly close activities and flag issues proactively.
  • Identify and help implement process improvements and AI-led automation opportunities across accounting workflows.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of accounting experience, including at least 4 years in a hands-on role at a multinational company or a Big 4 / mid-tier CA firm.
  • CA (Final) qualified; CPA or an equivalent international qualification is a plus.
  • Solid working knowledge of statutory compliance across countries, including direct and indirect tax returns.
  • Familiarity with IFRS, US GAAP, IndAS, and other local accounting standards in a technology company context.
  • Hands-on experience with an ERP system; NetSuite experience is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build and maintain reconciliation templates, schedules, and close trackers.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization, with a track record of meeting close deadlines and maintaining auditable workpapers.
  • Clear, proactive communicator who can collaborate effectively in a remote, async-first environment across cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, and self-direction, with a process-minded and improvement-focused approach.
  • Experience leveraging AI, automation, and systems to improve accounting accuracy and efficiency is preferred.

Benefits

  • Fully remote work from a home office in India with some overlap with the global finance team.
  • India annual base pay range of INR 3,761,000 to INR 4,701,000.
  • Eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program, depending on the role.
  • Total compensation may include equity-based compensation.
