Description

  • Own and manage the product backlog, including prioritization and ongoing grooming.
  • Define, maintain, and communicate product roadmaps for new product development and sustaining activities.
  • Act as the primary product decision-maker, balancing scope, value, risk, and technical constraints.
  • Lead scoping discussions and effort estimation exercises with engineering and cross-functional teams.
  • Elicit, document, and manage requirements, translating user and business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure requirements are well-defined, traceable, and aligned with overall product strategy.
  • Partner with clinical, scientific, and business stakeholders to understand workflows, user needs, and success criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, SQA, and operations teams to support design, development, and testing activities.
  • Coordinate dependencies and resolve ambiguities to keep delivery on track.
  • Support release planning, execution, and readiness, including defect triage and scope trade-off decisions.
  • Monitor product outcomes and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain clear product documentation and ensure shared understanding across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on technical products in healthcare or software integration.
  • Prior experience in life sciences or diagnostics required.
  • Experience optimizing at least one of: lab operations, diagnostic order-to-cash, diagnostic billing/reimbursement workflows, or analytics-driven systems.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Strong technical proficiency, including understanding of APIs, data modeling, cloud services such as AWS or GCP, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, regulated industry.
  • Hybrid role based in South San Francisco or San Diego, with remote US candidates considered.

  • Base salary range of $135,000 to $160,000 USD, depending on location.
  • Eligibility for additional discretionary bonuses and incentives.
