Description

  • Develop new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying key contacts within assigned strategic accounts and targets.
  • Create and execute account strategies and sales plans to meet or exceed quota targets.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers to understand customer goals and position Velsera’s solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal and customer teams to scope solutions and remove sales obstacles.
  • Manage opportunity activity, planning, and forecasting through closure in the sales process.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Velsera’s product portfolio, genomics, bioinformatics, and customer scientific direction.
  • Develop and deliver presentations and proposals tailored to customer needs.
  • Represent Velsera at industry meetings and conferences as needed.
  • Track industry trends and competitor strategies to identify differentiators and support sales positioning.
  • Provide strategic plan updates, pipeline visibility, and forecast reporting to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct selling experience in SaaS or genetics/genomics solutions.
  • Experience selling to strategic academic medical centers, health systems, hospitals, and reference laboratories.
  • Proven ability to execute multimillion-dollar sales cycles in a consultative selling environment.
  • Knowledge of strategic sales development techniques.
  • Salesforce (SFDC) and Microsoft Office experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in genetics, microbiology, or a related field.
  • Ability to network effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Experience building trusted long-term relationships with senior healthcare leaders.
  • Ability to explain technical and scientific concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and support business growth.
  • English language proficiency is mandatory.
