Description

  • Design, develop, and architect the core backend platform as part of a globally distributed engineering team.
  • Create architecture documents, functional specifications, design documents, and developer test plans.
  • Write reliable, secure, performant, and scalable code for backend services.
  • Perform code reviews and analyze code for quality and correctness.
  • Monitor platform performance and participate in on-call support for urgent issues.
  • Work with customer support to investigate and resolve customer issues.
  • Integrate new technologies into the back-end cloud infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and adopt new technologies where they add value to the platform.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of software development experience, including some container technology experience such as Docker.
  • Experience building highly available and scalable distributed systems for the cloud.
  • Professional development experience in GoLang, Python, or Java.
  • Good knowledge of Linux and Bash scripting.
  • Experience with microservices and REST-based HTTP/2 architectures.
  • Experience with SQL databases such as Postgres and NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB or Elasticsearch.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning, profiling, and software metrics tools.
  • Very strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of networks and web concepts.
  • Bonus experience: distributed systems, AWS, GCP, or Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, network services, platform-level operations, or API-based connectors to SaaS services.
