Description

  • Configure customer accounts, customize backup policies and storage, and guide onboarding and stakeholder orientation.
  • Identify migration opportunities and align product adoption with customer business outcomes through success planning and strategy sessions.
  • Conduct assessments, build protection plans, and recommend software products and architectures across the Veeam Data Platform.
  • Run recovery simulations and apply the Veeam Data Resilience Maturity Model to measure and report resilience posture.
  • Deliver quarterly resilience reports that demonstrate measurable customer value.
  • Monitor customer signals to identify churn risk early and define mitigation plans with renewal partners.
  • Build business cases, define total cost of ownership, and articulate value propositions for expansion opportunities.
  • Engage CISO and CIO stakeholders with clear technical, risk, and status updates for executive discussions.
  • Collaborate on marketing-informed campaigns and plays to drive adoption and account expansion.
  • Own the technical success plan and adoption roadmap while partnering with Sales and Customer Success leadership on commercial terms and renewals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in customer-facing engineering roles focused on data backup and recovery, such as Technical Consulting, Pre-Sales SE, or Technical Account Manager.
  • Hands-on expertise with operating systems, virtualization, storage, scripting/automation, cloud platforms, and disaster recovery and resilience best practices.
  • Strong experience designing and executing protection plans, migrations, and recovery simulations.
  • VMCE certification is required, and it may be completed after hire within an agreed timeframe.
  • Preferred certifications include AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional, or Microsoft Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Experience with Veeam platform capabilities is a plus.
  • Proven ability to translate business outcomes into technical adoption roadmaps and measurable value.
  • Executive stakeholder engagement experience with CISO and CIO audiences.
  • Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • This is a mid-level role supporting long-term account assignments tied to ARR and growth potential, typically covering 5–50 Enterprise and Commercial-Named accounts with $100K+ ARR.
