Description

  • Own delivery for significant features or systems from requirements clarification through design, execution, release, and iteration.
  • Build and maintain reliable services and workflows that support AI features in production.
  • Define quality metrics, test strategies, and evaluation approaches for your area and automate them where possible.
  • Run structured experiments, interpret results, and translate findings into product improvements.
  • Improve operational readiness through deployment automation, monitoring, alerting, incident follow-up, and performance and cost optimization.
  • Mentor teammates through design feedback, code reviews, and practical guidance.
  • Collaborate closely with technical leads, senior stakeholders, Legal, and Security as needed.
  • Drive design decisions within your area and help set engineering standards.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years building and shipping production software in product teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and system design experience.
  • Hands-on coding experience in Python and/or TypeScript, or similar languages, with APIs/services and data pipelines.
  • Cloud experience, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability experience.
  • Ability to own quality without dedicated QA support.
  • Experience defining metrics, building evaluations, and iterating quickly with an experimentation mindset.
  • Solid working knowledge of how modern AI applications are built and evaluated.
  • Ability to learn new models and tools quickly and assess feasibility based on evidence and ROI.
  • Experience building safe and compliant solutions with privacy, data handling, and safeguards in mind.
  • Willingness to work within Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours, with schedule adjustment if located outside the time zone.
  • Preferred: experience with GenAI/LLM concepts such as prompt engineering, RAG, function or tool calling, evaluation pipelines, fine-tuning, LoRA, embeddings, and vector search.
  • Preferred: experience with LLMOps practices such as experiment tracking, prompt or version control, and cost or latency optimization.
  • Preferred: experience with serverless AWS, LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, Pinecone, FAISS, or Milvus.
  • Preferred: external contributions such as open source work, blogs, or talks.
