Description

  • Explore large-scale transactional and behavioral datasets to uncover fraud-related patterns.
  • Build and validate classification models for imbalanced fraud detection problems.
  • Create feature-engineering variables that improve model performance and generalization.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to integrate models into decision flows.
  • Monitor model performance in production and iterate as user behavior and fraud strategies change.
  • Research and apply cutting-edge machine learning techniques for fraud detection in digital transaction environments.
  • Support the automation of decision-making for fraud prevention systems.

Requirements

  • Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field with strong programming skills.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Data Science or Data/Business Analytics with machine learning knowledge.
  • 2+ years of experience with Python and SQL.
  • Knowledge of fraud detection, anomaly detection, or modeling with imbalanced datasets.
  • Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset with the ability to extract actionable insights from data.
  • Industry background in fintech, insurance, or banking is desirable but not required.
  • AWS services knowledge is a plus.
  • Understanding of consumer behavior, alternative data sources, and digital lending platforms is desirable.
