Description

  • Research and develop new sales opportunities within the assigned Great Lakes territory.
  • Source and prospect institutional leads through cold calling, email outreach, trade show leads, and inbound website leads.
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline and forecast new business revenue.
  • Work with Customer Care to prepare quotes, close sales, and support post-sale activities.
  • Develop relationships with decision makers at universities and colleges and secure bulk purchase and institutional agreements.
  • Conduct on-site presentations, sales demos, and webinar presentations to student groups.
  • Attend conferences and trade shows to engage B2B and B2C prospects.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, including notes, follow-ups, emails, and call logs.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to share market insights, customer feedback, and lead data.
  • Support retention of existing university and college accounts and route qualified opportunities for further development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, marketing, communications, business, or a relevant field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience, or prior use of UWorld to pass the NCLEX exam.
  • Previous sales experience in education or publishing preferred but not required.
  • Proven ability to convert prospects and meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Experience in qualifying opportunities, account development, and time management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including comfort speaking to large groups.
  • Ability to call, connect with, and present to potential customers using a consultative sales approach.
  • Energetic, outgoing, friendly, persuasive, and goal-oriented demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills with an adaptive and collaborative mindset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% within the assigned territory.
