Description

  • Provide legal advice and counsel on all aspects of real estate development projects.
  • Support land and property acquisition and due diligence matters.
  • Advise on entitlement, permitting, construction, design agreements, financing, joint ventures, leasing, sales, and property management.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, development agreements, leases, construction contracts, and loan documents.
  • Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with real estate development projects.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on real estate laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including development, finance, and construction.
  • Interface with external parties such as government agencies, lenders, investors, and consultants.
  • Stay current on legal developments and industry best practices in real estate development.

Requirements

  • Experienced real estate development lawyer with a strong background in real estate law.
  • Mid-level or senior counsel level experience.
  • Experience with real estate development and transaction work.
  • Knowledge of land and property acquisition, due diligence, entitlement, and permitting.
  • Experience with construction and design agreements.
  • Experience with financing, joint ventures, leasing, sales, and property management.
  • Ability to draft, review, and negotiate legal documents including purchase agreements, development agreements, leases, construction contracts, and loan documents.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills related to real estate laws and regulations.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and communicate with external parties.
  • Ability to stay current on legal developments and industry best practices.
