Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance features for the core Ruby on Rails application.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement new features.
  • Optimize application performance, database queries, and overall system architecture.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code aligned with best practices and industry standards.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior team members.
  • Identify and troubleshoot software defects, performance bottlenecks, and system failures.
  • Stay current with trends and advancements in Ruby on Rails and web development.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience building software in a team environment, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience working on a Ruby on Rails application, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience writing code that is accessible, scalable, maintainable, and performant.
  • Experience with a modern frontend framework such as Vue, React, or Angular.
  • Experience working with background job processing systems such as Sidekiq or other ActiveJob processors.
  • Experience writing complex queries for relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
  • Comfort working remotely in an autonomous environment and communicating proactively in public channels.
  • Ability to work with teammates during US time zones.
  • Must be located in South or Central America.
  • US-based and Europe-based applicants are not being accepted.
