Description

  • Install and service access control and IP camera systems according to engineered drawings.
  • Independently install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic devices, power supplies, and network components.
  • Program, terminate, and commission a wide range of access control products and platforms.
  • Identify and resolve issues that could negatively impact job productivity.
  • Complete all job ticket paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
  • Communicate job activity timely to the Project Manager or Field Supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment and a clean company vehicle.
  • Maintain a safe driving record and report incidents or near misses immediately.
  • Attend required product and safety training.
  • Work closely with subcontractors, customers, and other UT employees to support project success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of field installation experience in a security environment.
  • Experience installing door hardware such as strikes and magnetic locks.
  • Experience in audio visual technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with other UT employees and UT customers.
  • Strong work ethic, teamwork, and a customer-focused "can do" attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Must be a self-starter and quick learner.
  • Lenel, Software House, or Genetec certification preferred; Software House, Genetec, American Dynamics, Bosch, or other IP camera certifications are a plus.
