Description

  • Serve as the primary administrator and support contact for Workday Financials for the Finance team.
  • Triage and resolve configuration issues, user requests, and system inquiries with responsiveness and quality.
  • Diagnose and fix Workday Financials configuration issues across Finance-related modules.
  • Gather, document, and translate Finance business requirements into functional design specifications and Workday configuration solutions.
  • Deliver enhancements, new feature rollouts, and process improvements from requirements through testing and change management.
  • Participate in Workday semi-annual release cycles, including impact assessment, UAT coordination, and deployment support.
  • Maintain system documentation, including configuration guides, business process flows, and training materials.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Systems on cross-functional initiatives involving HCM, Adaptive Planning, integrations, and connected systems.
  • Support strategic Finance priorities such as process automation, reporting improvements, and scalability initiatives.
  • Manage support tickets and project tasks through an intake and prioritization process while communicating status to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on Workday Financials configuration and support experience in a business analyst or functional analyst role.
  • Deep working knowledge of one or more Workday Financial Management modules.
  • Ability to configure business processes, validation rules, condition rules, and security independently.
  • Experience supporting day-to-day Finance operations while also contributing to project-based and strategic work.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across Finance and IT.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, performing gap analysis, and writing functional design documents.
  • Solid understanding of core finance and accounting concepts, including GAAP, month-end close, AP/AR workflows, and expense management.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple open requests and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative problem-solving approach and a track record of building trusted Finance partnerships.
  • Workday Pro certification in Financial Management is preferred.
  • Experience supporting Workday in a publicly traded company with SOX compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning is preferred.
  • Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics or Workday Reporting, including composite reports, matrix reports, and calculated fields, is preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite, RevPro, Blackline, or other Finance-adjacent applications integrated with Workday is preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting a Finance team through a Workday optimization or module expansion project is preferred.
  • A sufficient knowledge of English for professional verbal and written communication is required.
