Description

  • Serve as the primary administrator and support contact for Workday Financials requests from Finance users.
  • Diagnose and resolve configuration issues across Workday Financials modules, including AP, AR, Expenses, Procurement, Banking & Settlement, and Financial Accounting.
  • Gather, document, and translate Finance business requirements into functional design specifications and Workday configuration solutions.
  • Support enhancements, new feature rollouts, and process improvements from requirements through testing and change management.
  • Participate in semi-annual Workday release cycles by reviewing release notes, assessing impact, coordinating UAT, and managing deployment.
  • Maintain system documentation, including configuration guides, business process flows, and training materials.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Systems on cross-functional initiatives involving Workday HCM, Adaptive Planning, integrations, and third-party systems.
  • Support Finance leadership on strategic priorities such as automation, reporting improvements, and scalability initiatives.
  • Act as a bridge between Finance and IT to ensure system changes are controlled, tested, and minimally disruptive.
  • Manage support tickets and project tasks through a defined intake and prioritization process while communicating status proactively.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on Workday Financials configuration and support experience in a business analyst or functional analyst role.
  • Deep working knowledge of one or more Workday Financial Management modules.
  • Ability to configure business processes, validation rules, condition rules, and security independently.
  • Experience supporting day-to-day Finance operations while contributing to project-based work and strategic initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and communicate clearly across Finance and IT.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, performing gap analysis, and writing functional design documents.
  • Solid understanding of core finance and accounting concepts, including GAAP, month-end close, AP/AR workflows, and expense management.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple open requests and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative problem-solving mindset with a track record of building trusted relationships with Finance partners.
  • Workday Pro certification in Financial Management is preferred.
  • Experience supporting Workday in a publicly traded company with SOX compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning is preferred.
  • Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics or Workday Reporting, including composite reports, matrix reports, and calculated fields, is preferred.
  • Experience with Coupa, Workiva, Concur, or similar Finance-adjacent applications that integrate with Workday is preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting a Finance team through a Workday optimization or module expansion project is preferred.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $91,700 to $137,500 USD.
