Description

  • Serve as the primary administrator and support contact for Workday Financials requests, issues, and system inquiries from the Finance team.
  • Diagnose and resolve configuration issues across Workday Financials modules including Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Procurement, and Banking & Settlement.
  • Gather, document, and translate Finance business requirements into functional design specifications and Workday configuration solutions.
  • Deliver enhancements, new feature rollouts, and process improvements from requirements gathering through testing and change management.
  • Participate in Workday semi-annual release cycles by reviewing release notes, assessing impact, coordinating user acceptance testing, and managing deployment.
  • Maintain system documentation such as configuration guides, business process flows, and training materials.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Systems on cross-functional initiatives involving Workday HCM, Adaptive Planning, integrations, and third-party systems.
  • Support strategic Finance priorities including process automation, reporting improvements, and scalability initiatives tied to company growth.
  • Act as a bridge between Finance and IT to ensure changes are controlled, tested rigorously, and minimally disruptive to operations.
  • Manage support tickets and project tasks through intake and prioritization processes while communicating status to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on Workday Financials configuration and support experience in a business analyst or functional analyst role.
  • Deep working knowledge of one or more Workday Financial Management modules.
  • Ability to configure business processes, validation rules, condition rules, and security independently.
  • Experience supporting day-to-day Finance operations while contributing to project-based and strategic work.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across Finance and IT, with clear communication at all levels.
  • Experience with business requirements gathering, gap analysis, and functional design documentation.
  • Solid understanding of finance and accounting concepts including GAAP, month-end close, AP/AR workflows, and expense management.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple open requests and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative problem-solving approach with a track record of building trusted relationships with Finance partners.
  • Workday Pro certification in Financial Management is preferred.
  • Experience supporting Workday in a publicly traded company with SOX compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning is preferred.
  • Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics or Workday Reporting, including composite reports, matrix reports, and calculated fields, is preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite, RevPro, Blackline, or similar finance-adjacent applications that integrate with Workday is preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting a Finance team through a Workday optimization or module expansion project is preferred.
  • A sufficient knowledge of English for frequent professional verbal and written communication is required.
