Description

  • Support the Regional General Counsel for Europe on real estate transactions and legal matters.
  • Manage the closing process from start to finish.
  • Proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Liaise with brokers, site owners, and other external stakeholders as needed.
  • Coordinate closings with external advisors, including attorneys, notaries, banks, fund managers, and other third parties.
  • Conduct legal due diligence and property due diligence, including leases and title review.
  • Organize and maintain transaction documentation in SharePoint and track deals in the internal SMS system.
  • Assist with work in other jurisdictions as the company expands.
  • Advise on property taxes at a basic level.
  • Prepare reports on pre-close diligence, closing statements, and finance review.
  • Train the origination team on real estate matters.
  • Draft and negotiate term sheets, LOIs, contracts, and notarial deeds.
  • Oversee and manage the payment process for all closings.
  • Communicate with the US Legal Department and participate in weekly coordination meetings and tracker updates.
  • Prioritize multiple work assignments and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.

Requirements

  • English fluency is required.
  • German language skills are required.
  • Legal experience in real estate transactions is required.
  • Experience supporting closings and transaction documentation is required.
  • Experience with legal due diligence and property due diligence, including leases and title, is required.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating term sheets, LOIs, contracts, and notarial deeds is required.
  • Ability to coordinate with external advisors, including attorneys, notaries, banks, and fund managers, is required.
  • Ability to manage documentation and transaction tracking systems such as SharePoint and an internal SMS system is required.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills are required.
  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions is preferred.
