Description

  • Design and implement enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms using Databricks Lakehouse architecture.
  • Lead end-to-end solution architecture for data engineering, cloud modernization, and AI initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and leadership to define scalable and secure data solutions.
  • Drive data platform governance, security frameworks, and best practices across cloud environments.
  • Architect high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines and streaming data solutions.
  • Support migration from legacy data warehouses and Hadoop ecosystems to modern cloud lakehouse platforms.
  • Enable AI/ML and Generative AI use cases leveraging modern Databricks capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership, solution estimation, architecture reviews, and client presentations.
  • Conduct discovery workshops and solution assessment sessions.
  • Develop architecture documentation, migration strategies, and execution roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Databricks, modern data platforms, cloud architecture, and AI-driven solutions.
  • Hands-on expertise in Spark, PySpark, Delta Lake, and Structured Streaming.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT design, data pipeline optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on expertise with Unity Catalog and Databricks workspace architecture.
  • Experience designing governance frameworks, security models, RBAC, and cluster policies.
  • Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture, Lakehouse concepts, Databricks SQL, and dimensional data modeling.
  • Solid cloud fundamentals in AWS, Azure, or GCP, including networking, IAM, storage, compute, and cloud security.
  • Experience integrating with SAP systems, REST APIs, Kafka/event streaming, Snowflake, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Experience in legacy DWH modernization, Hadoop migration, CDC patterns, and migration frameworks.
  • Experience with Git, Terraform, Databricks Asset Bundles, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions.
  • Exposure to AI/ML, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Vector Databases, RAG architectures, Mosaic AI, and Lakehouse AI.
  • Strong client communication, executive presentation, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and solution architecture documentation skills.
  • Experience working in enterprise consulting or global delivery environments is preferred.
  • Databricks and cloud certifications are highly preferred.
