Description

  • Develop persuasive case themes and defense strategies for litigation matters.
  • Independently manage court appearances, depositions, briefing, discovery, and trials.
  • Handle full case responsibilities from discovery through trial preparation.
  • Communicate routinely with clients and cultivate client relationships.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff across experience levels.
  • Lead and direct less experienced attorneys.
  • Deliver strategic representation in complex, high-exposure insurance defense matters.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active bar license in the State of Texas.
  • 8+ years of litigation experience, including litigation support, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Ability to manage all facets of case handling, discovery, and trial.
  • Insurance defense experience preferred.
  • Experience managing litigation teams and mentoring junior attorneys.
  • Experience using time-management systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $150,000–$200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Annual billable-hours bonus starting at $10,000, with $7,500 for each additional tier.
