Description

  • Independently manage civil litigation cases from strategy through discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and trial.
  • Handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials.
  • Develop persuasive case themes and defense strategies.
  • Communicate routinely with clients and cultivate client relationships.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff across experience levels.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to less experienced attorneys.
  • Help shape the culture, growth, and future leadership of the Inland Empire office.

Requirements

  • Active California Bar license.
  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • 8+ years of litigation experience, including litigation support, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Ability to manage all facets of case handling, discovery, and trial with minimal supervision.
  • Insurance defense experience preferred.
  • First- or second-chair trial experience is valued.
  • Experience with time-management systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative, professional, and receptive to feedback.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $160,000-$190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Annual billable-hours bonus starting at $10,000, with $7,500 for each additional tier.

  • 401(k) with 100% match on the first 3% contributed and 50% match on the next 4-5%.
