Description

  • Develop case themes and defense strategies that counter plaintiff arguments.
  • Independently manage court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials.
  • Handle full case responsibilities, including discovery and trial preparation.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and cultivate client relationships.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across experience levels on litigation matters.
  • Lead litigation teams and mentor junior attorneys.
  • Maintain high standards of legal practice and client service.

Requirements

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active California bar license.
  • 8+ years of litigation experience in general liability insurance defense and insurance coverage matters.
  • Experience managing insurance defense cases involving general liability and coverage issues.
  • Proven ability to manage cases through discovery and trial.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with time-management systems and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $160,000-$190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Annual billable-hours bonus starting at $10,000, with an additional $7,500 for each subsequent tier.

  • 401(k) with a 100% match on the first 3% contributed and a 50% match on the following 4-5%.
