Description

  • Develop, document, and execute functional and automation test cases.
  • Perform API testing for RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices using Postman.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts using Katalon and other automation tools.
  • Identify, document, track, and report software defects.
  • Execute database testing and validate backend data integrity.
  • Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
  • Prepare test reports and maintain QA documentation.
  • Support CI/CD testing processes and continuous quality improvements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software QA and testing.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience noted for this contract role.
  • Strong experience in functional/manual testing and automation testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Katalon, Selenium, TestNG, or similar tools.
  • Expertise in API testing using Postman or SoapUI.
  • Experience with database testing and SQL queries.
  • Good understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and defect lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
  • Candidates must be located in California.
  • Contract role for 6 months; 1099 arrangement at $32/hour.
