Description

  • Support customers using Twilio’s Programmable Messaging product and serve as a subject matter expert for the Programmable Messaging API.
  • Work messaging email cases from individual developers and major brands.
  • Troubleshoot message deliverability issues and debug customer code.
  • Guide customers by phone and chat through building SMS applications.
  • Collaborate with teammates and Twilio Product and Engineering teams via Slack.
  • File Jira tickets to report reproducible bugs.
  • Review the internal knowledge base to stay current on industry shifts and standards.
  • Provide friendly, professional customer service while explaining complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Manage work efficiently under pressure and follow standard processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a client-facing technical role, preferably supporting REST APIs or enterprise software.
  • Strong understanding of technology stacks common to the web ecosystem.
  • Functional knowledge of general-purpose programming languages.
  • Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to professionally and diplomatically address customer concerns and provide concise feedback.
  • Ability to de-escalate tense or difficult customer situations in a live environment.
  • Excellent reading comprehension, listening, and writing skills.
  • Previous exposure or knowledge of Twilio products (preferred).
  • Coding experience in any language for reading and debugging (preferred).
  • Previous experience with Zendesk or a similar ticketing system (preferred).
  • Remote role based in Ireland.
  • Occasional travel may be required for project or team in-person meetings.
