Description

  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for distributed systems and microservices.
  • Design and implement highly scalable cloud-based architectures with a focus on reliability, performance, and future growth.
  • Scope, design, and deploy machine learning systems into production.
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, and operational leaders on anti-fraud and anti-abuse systems.
  • Define and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
  • Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing activities with teammates.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Create technical documentation, including design decisions, architecture diagrams, and best practices.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to production incidents and system outages.
  • Use asynchronous communication patterns to optimize system performance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience designing, building, and operating high-scale, mission-critical cloud-based production systems.
  • 7+ years of experience with at least two programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, Ruby, or Go.
  • 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams in an agile environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with distributed caching systems such as Redis or Memcached, including common use cases and performance pitfalls.
  • Strong understanding of DDD, SOLID, cloud-native patterns, distributed systems, and architecture.
  • Ability to anticipate common failure modes in a microservice environment.
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders in English.
  • Passion for new technologies and strong analysis and problem-solving ability.
  • Track record as a full-stack engineer, preferred.
  • Experience with AWS-related technologies, preferred.
  • Remote role based in India, limited to Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, or Delhi.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project or team in-person meetings.
