Description

  • Partner with Account Executives to run pre-sales activities such as opportunity qualification, demonstrations, proof-of-concept work, RFP responses, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
  • Lead the technical and product sale by recommending best-practice solutions and guiding customers on how to use Twilio’s APIs.
  • Lead technical discovery to understand customer pain points and design, demonstrate, and present solutions that address business challenges.
  • Build and deliver interactive, complex product demonstrations for Twilio’s Communications Products to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Establish trusted-advisor relationships with customers and build customer confidence in Twilio’s solutions.
  • Work independently on low- to mid-complexity opportunities and support the full deal cycle.
  • Identify and resolve issues that improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead the design and execution of small to medium technical projects with limited oversight.
  • Contribute to the Solutions Engineering community by sharing knowledge and creating reusable demo and presentation materials.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of pre-sales experience selling complex, technical products or 6+ years of professional experience supporting technical products with customer-facing delivery or consulting experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to gain audience confidence.
  • Strong storytelling ability and the ability to explain complex topics to audiences at multiple levels.
  • Ability to understand customer communications needs and guide them to a technical solution.
  • Previous software development experience or working knowledge in one or more of the following: backend languages such as Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP; web development including JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or frontend frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular; and building with REST APIs.
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure and cloud application architecture (preferred).
  • Previous experience in Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security (preferred).
  • Experience with sales methodologies (preferred).
  • Role must be based remotely in Australia, Japan, or Singapore.
  • Approximately 10% travel is required.
