Description

  • Set the technical strategy and multi-year roadmap for high-impact, cross-organizational programs.
  • Lead end-to-end execution frameworks for complex technical initiatives, including sequencing, governance, and success metrics.
  • Own the master execution roadmap for interdependent product suites and resolve misalignment across engineering roadmaps.
  • Partner with engineers and architects to evaluate technical approaches, integration patterns, risks, and readiness requirements.
  • Establish accountability standards and operating models for cross-functional teams working on critical programs.
  • Identify hidden technical requirements such as security, compliance, billing, and observability needs and incorporate them into program design.
  • Build durable program frameworks and technical readiness standards that improve R&D execution maturity.
  • Mentor Principal TPMs and engineering leaders on technical risk management, executive communication, and decision-making.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience leading large-scale technical programs in high-growth, distributed systems, and software engineering environments.
  • Proven ability to influence technical direction and architectural decisions at the VP/SVP level.
  • Expert-level execution strategy experience for programs involving hundreds of engineers.
  • Strong ability to translate technical challenges into strategic business narratives for senior executives.
  • Deep technical fluency in cloud-scale infrastructure, API-first design, and distributed systems.
  • Experience influencing Staff, Principal, or Distinguished Engineers and challenging assumptions when needed.
  • Demonstrated success building operational readiness frameworks and self-service tools across large R&D organizations.
  • Ability to bring structure to ambiguous environments with shifting specifications, technologies, and market demands.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience at a hyperscaler or Fortune 100 cloud software/infrastructure company is preferred.
  • Domain expertise in global-scale communications, such as Telephony, SMS, or CPaaS, or in high-throughput distributed platforms is preferred.
  • Experience leading major cloud migrations or foundational platform re-architectures is preferred.
