Description

  • Build, operate, and support Twilio’s global IT network infrastructure.
  • Maintain and track network assets, including hardware and software.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, utilization, throughput, and latency, and report metrics to IT leadership.
  • Work with stakeholder teams to understand current and future network needs.
  • Prioritize network projects and work using the Scale Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Develop methods and tools for testing and implementing new LAN/WAN systems.
  • Analyze network architecture and help improve efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.
  • Plan strategies to maintain and upgrade network systems effectively.
  • Respond to incidents, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Create and maintain network design, standards, and process documentation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience building campus and/or data center network infrastructure, AWS cloud services, and networking.
  • 5+ years of experience with Cisco LAN/WAN/WiFi and Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS cloud services and networking.
  • Advanced knowledge of IEEE 802 standards and core IETF networking protocols, including 802.11, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching protocols.
  • Hands-on knowledge of network monitoring tools and practices.
  • Knowledge of network security and implementing security policy for compliance.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Mac, and Linux client networking.
  • Experience troubleshooting network problems across different OSI model layers.
  • University degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification preferred.
  • AWS certification preferred.
  • Zscaler Zero Trust Systems experience and/or certifications preferred.
  • Scripting language experience with API automation preferred.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform preferred.
  • Knowledge of the ITIL framework in a network environment preferred.
  • Project management skills preferred.
