Description

  • Partner with sales leadership to define strategy for finding, closing, and supporting opportunities across the funnel and existing customers.
  • Work cross-functionally to align shared goals and ensure appropriate team capacity.
  • Build and roll out programs that help Presales Engineers scale sales funnel acceleration.
  • Attract, develop, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of Presales Engineers.
  • Lead the technical strategy and forecast for the Presales Engineering team.
  • Decide how Presales Engineers should support new sign-ups and deploy the team effectively.
  • Measure, analyze, and communicate results using data to guide decisions.
  • Set expectations, remove obstacles, and communicate tradeoffs to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Product, Support, Sales, Operations, Legal, Security, Engineering, and other teams to help customers succeed.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant presales experience in SaaS or CPaaS, including a BS in Computer Science or equivalent software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of formal people leadership experience, including coaching for performance and supporting professional growth.
  • Proven ability to set strategic priorities, empower teams, and drive business results with data-driven decisions.
  • Proven track record of building high-performance teams and leading by example.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functionally and resolve complex conflicts.
  • Hands-on problem-solving approach and willingness to handle customer-blocking issues directly.
  • Strong understanding of the developer adoption cycle and relevant technology areas such as contact centre, IP-based telephony, messaging, real-time communications, security, authentication, email, and scaling web/mobile applications.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, plus cloud application architecture and AI systems.
  • Experience with sales methodologies.
  • Cross-functional experience in pre-sales or post-sales technical consulting, software engineering, or product management is a plus.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and demonstrated ability to lead change and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Fluency in German is desired.
