Description

  • Partner with Account Executives to run pre-sales activities including qualification, demos, proof-of-concept work, RFP responses, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions with customers to understand needs, challenges, and success criteria.
  • Build and deliver complex presentations and product demonstrations that showcase Twilio Communications products.
  • Develop technical architectures and creative solutions that help win customer business and build trust in Twilio’s offerings.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers and internal sales teams on strategic opportunities.
  • Contribute to the Solutions Engineering community by sharing knowledge, creating demo materials, and building reusable presentations.
  • Mentor peers and support cross-functional collaboration while independently managing complex opportunities.
  • Communicate customer insights and strategic technical vision across departments and levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 8 years in a solutions engineering or pre-sales role focused on complex technical products, or 10+ years supporting technical products with customer-facing delivery or consulting experience.
  • Experience engaging customers and communicating product ROI across multiple use cases.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency and thought leadership that influences team strategy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to inspire and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Strong customer-focused problem-solving skills and ability to balance innovative solutions with customer needs.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Software development experience in backend technologies such as Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP.
  • Software development experience in web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or frontend frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular.
  • Experience building with REST APIs.
  • Preferred experience managing strategic accounts and evangelizing new use cases in regulated verticals.
  • Preferred familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure and cloud application architecture.
  • Preferred experience in Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security.
