Description

  • Lead the architecture and long-term technical roadmap for legacy-to-modern distributed microservices systems.
  • Use AI coding assistants and LLMs to accelerate code generation, prototyping, test creation, and technical reviews.
  • Drive technical excellence and make cross-team architectural decisions that balance innovation, reliability, and security.
  • Partner with Product Managers to turn global telecommunications regulations and customer needs into developer-first APIs and workflows.
  • Mentor senior and staff engineers while fostering a culture of ownership, curiosity, and continuous learning.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, including scalability bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
  • Lead the team through complex production incidents and long-term remediation efforts.
  • Communicate technical strategy through design documents, RFCs, and presentations for executive and engineering audiences.

Requirements

  • 16+ years of experience designing and developing highly available, high-scale, secure, mission-critical cloud-native distributed systems.
  • Expert proficiency in Java or Go.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS ecosystems, including Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, and Kafka.
  • Deep experience with cloud-native infrastructure, microservices patterns, and designing 99.999% resilient systems; AWS preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to accelerate software delivery, including architectural brainstorming, debugging, and code synthesis.
  • Track record of building and maintaining high-volume public-facing APIs with strong developer experience.
  • Experience with high-throughput data processing and storage solutions such as SQL/NoSQL, Redis, Kafka, or Spark.
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD paradigms.
  • Proven ability to influence technical strategy across multiple teams without direct authority.
  • Preferred experience with telephony protocols, local number porting (LNP), or global regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Preferred experience building internal platforms that help other developer teams move faster.
  • Preferred experience building or integrating AI agents into developer platforms or automated ops workflows.
