Description

  • Work with Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, Professional Services, and Twilio Partners to plan and support deal success through the pre-sales process.
  • Build business partnerships with Account Executives by leading discovery and communicating the business value of Twilio solutions.
  • Participate in qualification, discovery, demonstrations, proof-of-concept work, RFP responses, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in customer needs and Twilio’s communications technology.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to uncover customer needs, challenges, and solution opportunities.
  • Build and deliver complex presentations and product demos showcasing Twilio Communications products.
  • Understand customers’ businesses and help solve identified problems while uncovering new opportunities.
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with senior customer stakeholders and propose creative solutions and architectures.
  • Contribute to the Solutions Engineer community by sharing knowledge, building demo assets, and creating reusable presentations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a technical pre-sales role in the CPaaS, SaaS, or telecom space.
  • Solid understanding of the sales cycle and the role of a pre-sales engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of voice protocols (VoIP), SIP implementations, or messaging APIs.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Ability to engage audiences and communicate complex topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to ask effective questions and guide customers toward technical solutions using Twilio Communications products.
  • Knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure, and cloud application architectures.
  • Experience writing code in one or more backend languages such as Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP.
  • Experience with web technologies such as JavaScript and React, and with designing and consuming REST APIs.
  • Preferred: hands-on backend development experience, especially with Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP.
  • Preferred: familiarity with mobile development, especially iOS and Android.
  • Preferred: previous technical experience in telecommunications, SIP, WebRTC, or contact center environments.
  • Preferred: experience with automation, cloud-native development, and major cloud platforms.
  • Preferred: experience with sales methodologies.
  • Preferred: additional language skills, especially French or Hebrew.
  • Role is remote and based in the UK.
  • Approximately 35% travel is required.
