Description

  • Lead, mentor, and scale the North American Solutions Engineering/Product Specialist team to foster innovation, collaboration, and customer-centric problem solving.
  • Develop and execute technical engagement strategies with sales leadership to drive customer acquisition, expansion, and retention.
  • Oversee solution design, implementation strategies, and technical validation for customer engagements to ensure solutions meet customer needs and align with Twilio Segment capabilities.
  • Act as a senior technical advisor and customer advocate, representing customer needs internally and influencing product development and roadmap.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to create a cohesive customer experience and drive product enhancements.
  • Ensure technical excellence by maintaining deep product knowledge of Twilio Segment and the broader technology landscape and by encouraging continuous learning within the team.
  • Align Solution Engineering activities and priorities with sales goals and objectives, including supporting pre-sales and post-sales motions.
  • Own technical quality and readiness for customer-facing engagements, including executive presentations and technical validations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in software engineering or solution architecture.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role managing technical teams.
  • Strong technical background with experience in software development, data platforms, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience in pre-sales and post-sales environments (highly desirable).
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute technical strategies that align with business objectives and drive customer success.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and grow high-performing technical teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience leading Solution Engineering or Product Specialist teams within CPaaS, UCaaS, or Customer Data Platform companies (desired).
  • Familiarity with Twilio Segment’s technology stack is a plus.
  • This role is remote but applicants are not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, OR, PA, RI, TX, VA, WA, or Washington, D.C.; approximately 20% travel is anticipated.
