Description

  • Own new customer acquisition and manage a quota for incremental Account Contract Value (iACV).
  • Run analytical, consultative sales cycles to win competitive vendor sourcing deals.
  • Understand customer business and technical needs and map them to Twilio’s communications API platform.
  • Design solutions for customer use cases across Twilio’s messaging, voice, and email products.
  • Work with Finance, Legal, Pricing, and Operations to structure mutually beneficial contracts.
  • Present complex contractual, technical, and financial information clearly to prospects.
  • Manage multiple projects and deals while balancing competing priorities.
  • Partner with sales, services, product, and finance on territory strategy and sales plans.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer to product and carrier relations teams.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast data in Salesforce and stay current on CPaaS industry changes.

Requirements

  • 8 years of full-cycle sales experience, including at least 3 years managing or leading quantitative, highly analytical products or solutions.
  • Direct selling experience with technical SaaS or CPaaS.
  • Experience with outbound prospecting into install-base accounts and greenfield new accounts.
  • Experience executing QBR strategy for territory penetration.
  • Technical solutions-selling experience working with real customers and solving problems.
  • Comfort working with business and highly technical leaders and building supportive partnerships.
  • Analytical account development strategy based on data to identify opportunities and prove value.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing forecasts and financial models.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to define process and build programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Deep experience with telecom companies, including CPaaS, SMS aggregators, carriers, or global communications platforms (preferred).
  • Domain expertise in highly quantitative industries such as DevOps, fintech, advertising optimization, investment banking, security, or commodity trading (preferred).
  • Software, SaaS, CPaaS, or PaaS selling experience (preferred).
  • Remote role; candidates must not be located in CA, CT, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, OR, PA, RI, TX, VA, WA, or Washington, DC.
  • Approximately 30% travel required.
