Description

Own quality for web platform features across the UI, APIs, and backend services.
Design and execute manual test cases and exploratory testing for complex web and API workflows.
Perform regression testing after defects are resolved.
Build and maintain automated test suites for the web platform and APIs.
Validate frontend-backend integration, data consistency, and error handling.
Perform API contract testing, schema validation, and negative or edge-case testing.
Collaborate with frontend engineers, backend engineers, product managers, and designers during design, implementation, and code reviews.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to deliver fast, reliable feedback.
Analyze test failures, investigate root causes, and drive issues to resolution.
Identify, document, and track software defects in bug tracking tools such as Jira.

Requirements

Experience in QA or Quality Engineering with a strong focus on web platforms and APIs.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven hands-on experience testing complex, consumer-facing web applications manually.
Strong experience building and maintaining API tests using tools such as Postman, REST-assured, Supertest, or similar.
Hands-on experience with web automation frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress.
Solid understanding of HTTP, REST, and API design principles.
Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as JavaScript or TypeScript.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience testing large-scale, high-traffic web platforms is preferred.
Familiarity with React or modern frontend frameworks is preferred.
Experience with performance, load, or reliability testing for APIs and web applications is preferred.
Exposure to feature flags, experimentation platforms, or observability tools is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality in day-to-day work.
Strong track record of critically evaluating and verifying AI-assisted work.
High integrity and ownership, including protecting sensitive data and remaining accountable for final decisions and deliverables.

Benefits

Base salary range of $132,415 to $272,619 USD for US-based applicants.
Eligible for equity.
Remote-friendly working model via PinFlex.
No relocation assistance is provided for this position.
